Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I know if I need therapy?

Therapy can be helpful whenever you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out — sometimes it’s simply about wanting to understand yourself better, navigate change, or feel more grounded. If your worries, anxiety, or emotions are beginning to affect your daily life, relationships, or sense of peace, therapy can offer a safe space to explore and heal. Though, it is highly recommended to seek therapeutic support if you or someone you know is facing personal, social, occupational, or spiritual challenges in life like - Anxiety, - Stress, - Self-esteem or self-work, - Adjustment or work concerns, - Grief, depression, aggression, - Addiction, trauma, - Relationship, - Existential crisis, or any other behavioural or psychological condition.

How many sessions would I need?

The number of sessions varies for each person. Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific concern, while others prefer ongoing work for deeper patterns and healing. In our first few sessions, we’ll explore your needs and goals together and discuss what pacing and duration might support you best.

Do you provide any medication?

I do not prescribe medication. As a psychotherapist, my work focuses on emotional, relational, and behavioural aspects of wellbeing. If we feel that medication might support your healing, I can refer you to or collaborate with a psychiatrist for an integrated approach.

What is the ideal frequency for booking sessions?

For most clients, weekly sessions help create continuity and trust in the process, especially at the start. In case you need more continuous support, we may discuss on increasing the frequency of the sessions. As therapy progresses and you feel more grounded, we might shift to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins — it depends on your pace and what feels sustainable.

Do I need any preparation before my first session?

No special preparation is needed. You can simply come as you are. It can help to reflect a little on what’s been feeling most difficult lately, or what you hope to understand or shift through therapy. You may also want to find a quiet, comfortable space and a supportive internet connection for ease of communication.

How will I know if therapy is working for me?

Therapy often brings subtle changes at first — you may begin to feel more aware, more compassionate with yourself, or more in touch with your body and emotions. Over time, you might notice shifts in how you respond to stress, connect with others, or relate to yourself. We’ll keep checking in together about your experience and progress so that the work stays meaningful and supportive for you.

Do you offer emergency services?

I do not provide emergency or crisis intervention. If you ever feel unsafe or in immediate distress, please reach out to your nearest hospital, emergency helpline, or trusted person for immediate support. Over time, therapy can help you reconnect with your strengths and live from a place of greater wholeness.
