A space for you to heal, feel and grow
Hello!
I'm Harpreet Kaur Arora (she/her)
A Counseling Psychologist and Rehabilitation Professional.
The Gentle Space was born from a longing to meet life and ourselves with gentleness.
I believe that every person — whether a child, adolescent, or adult — holds within them a deep sense of wholeness, strength, and possibility. Each of us learns, feels, and connects in our own unique way. Our work together is about understanding these parts — your strengths, interests, emotions, and challenges — with curiosity and care.

My Story:
I draw from diverse modalities—narrative therapy, play and art-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approaches, mindfulness-based counseling—because I believe therapy should meet each person where they are. I’ve worked extensively with children, adolescents, and young adults, offering assessments, psychoeducational reports, parent consultations, and both play and talk-based therapeutic sessions. As a therapist, I see myself as a co-traveller in my clients' journeys—someone who walks alongside them, offering understanding, acceptance, and support.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I know if I need therapy?
Therapy can be helpful whenever you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out — sometimes it’s simply about wanting to understand yourself better, navigate change, or feel more grounded. If your worries, anxiety, or emotions are beginning to affect your daily life, relationships, or sense of peace, therapy can offer a safe space to explore and heal. Though, it is highly recommended to seek therapeutic support if you or someone you know is facing personal, social, occupational, or spiritual challenges in life like - Anxiety, - Stress, - Self-esteem or self-work, - Adjustment or work concerns, - Grief, depression, aggression, - Addiction, trauma, - Relationship, - Existential crisis, or any other behavioural or psychological condition.
How many sessions would I need?
The number of sessions varies for each person. Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific concern, while others prefer ongoing work for deeper patterns and healing. In our first few sessions, we’ll explore your needs and goals together and discuss what pacing and duration might support you best.
Do you provide any medication?
I do not prescribe medication. As a psychotherapist, my work focuses on emotional, relational, and behavioural aspects of wellbeing. If we feel that medication might support your healing, I can refer you to or collaborate with a psychiatrist for an integrated approach.
