Hello!

I’m Harpreet Kaur Arora (she/her), a Counselling Psychologist and Rehabilitation Professional.

The Gentle Space was born from a longing to meet life and ourselves with gentleness. I believe that every person, whether a child, adolescent, or adult, holds within them a deep sense of wholeness, strength, and possibility. Each of us learns, feels, and connects in our own unique way. Our work together is about understanding these parts, your strengths, interests, emotions, and challenges, with curiosity and care.

Free, confidential, and no obligation to continue.

Take one slow breath with us.

You landed here for a reason, and reading about therapy can be its own kind of tiring. So there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to read. Just follow the cloud for a few rounds. In for four, hold for two, out for six.

In their words

What it feels like to be here.

The gentle space is really what it says. A gentle and safe space for anyone to open up about the things that worry them. I’ve had earlier experiences with psychologists and was very afraid to take these sessions with you but from the first session itself I could feel like I could confide in you to help me make things better in my life.

The gentle approach you use nudges and does not push me to do things and understand things about myself that I observed but never acknowledged.

Thank you Harpreet for being so kind and would definitely be taking your help whenever I would need it in the future.

Therapy Client, India

“A colleague of mine recommended deep listening sessions to me and I had the opportunity to be a part of this space with Harpreet.

I’ve had four sessions now and I hold immense reverance for how I’ve been able to show up to these calls because of the care and empathy Harpreet always held while interacting with me.

I’ve felt held, listened to and witnessed in each hour that I’ve shared with her. It’s helped me reflect on and move with grace through a fairly challenging phase of my life. Nothing but gratitude for the authenticity, comfort and nurturing honesty that Harpreet brought to the table, allowing for the make of a mini ecosystem that allowed me to show up with the same level of vulnerability and openness. Deeply grateful.”

Therapy Client, India

“There was a richness in the gathering, in the communing. There was a sense of deep patience and spaciousness for emotions, vulnerabilities, insights to be welcomed in, the space felt sacred co-held by the facilitators and also group held by all of us. Deep gratitude to the facilitators for offering there hearts and their presence in such tenderness and with deep care and purest intentions”

Listening Circle Participant, India

“I want to express my gratitude to Ms Harpreet for such thoughtful and mindful sessions. It really helped me to see a different perspective! Thanks a lot to her. After a single session with her I realised I was too identified with my thoughts and feel I am at a much better place now!

Saying my thoughts aloud I could hear myself and I could make sense of them.”

Therapy Client, India

“I benefited a lot from sessions with Ms Harpreet. I feel at the pace of my own being.

The kind of therapy Ms Harpreet does, mindfulness of body and emotions and cognition, I really liked in those sessions.”

Therapy Client, India

“The circle helped me in staying enough and spending time to understand what you are and what you are feeling”

Therapy Client, India

“I felt supported, listened to, and having a shared experience.”

From Career Counselling Sessions

Every respondent rated their session five out of five, and two thirds said it exceeded what they had expected.

“I would share the beautiful gesture the counsellor had throughout the session. She is very supportive, and kept motivating me. Learning about my strengths, and the way I was treated throughout the session, was the most valuable part for me.”

Career Counselling Client, India

“I would recommend it highly. It is a great and open experience to share. The way she was observant in identifying and piecing all my information together was impressive; she could understand a person in the span of two hours.”

Career Counselling Client, India

“I would highly recommend meeting her. She listened to my opinion and, rather than deciding what was best for me, offered suggestions.”

“Yes, I would definitely recommend it. The most valuable part was getting to know the results of my interests, and what career options I can choose in future.”

Questions people ask first

Before you book.

How do I know if I need therapy?

Therapy helps whenever you feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected. You don’t need to be in crisis to come; it also supports understanding yourself better and navigating change.

People come with anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, adjustment issues, grief, depression, aggression, addiction, trauma, relationship challenges, existential questions and other behavioural or psychological conditions.

What does it cost?

₹2,000 for a 60-minute session for clients in India, and ₹2,800 for NRI and foreign nationals. A shorter 30-minute session is ₹1,200. The first 15-minute consultation call is free.

If affordability is a concern, please say so. A few low cost/sliding-scale slots are offered (subject to availability).

How long is each session, and how often?

Sessions run 50–60 minutes, enough time for a check-in, real exploration, and a grounded closing.

Weekly usually works best at the start, for continuity and trust. As things progress, many people move to fortnightly or monthly check-ins.

I’m a new client. How do I book?

Reach out through the form on the contact page, by email, or on WhatsApp. You’ll receive a short registration form and a free 15-minute consultation call. Once you’re comfortable going ahead, available slots are shared, and your first session is confirmed once you sign the consent form and make the full payment.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, completely, with three exceptions required by professional ethics: risk of harm to yourself, intention to harm someone else, or risk of harm to a child or vulnerable adult. There is also a legal exception if records are required by law.

If any of those ever arise, it’s discussed with you openly first wherever possible. For clients who are minors, parents may be involved in discussing therapy progress while the privacy of the sessions themselves is protected.

Not sure where to start?

A free 15-minute call is the easiest first step. No commitment, and no forms to fill in first. Just a conversation.
